After many round trips, the last Dota 2 Major tournament of this year finally took place in Arlington, Texas. With the decisive results of this action-packed competition, we already know the champion of 2022. Team Spirit, the current champion of TI 10, defeated PSG.LGD 3-1 in the Grand Final and thus achieved its first Major.

With this figure, the Russian team matched Team Secret and Outsiders as the organizations with the highest rankings. On top of that, the five players of Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naydenov took revenge on PSG.LGD after losing to the Chinese team 2-0 in the Grand Final of Riyadh Masters 2022.

Team Spirit not only won an important Major trophy, but also took home a huge prize of $200,000 and 820 points from the Dots Professional Circuit. According to this, the team has a direct invitation to the upcoming The International 11, which will take place in October 2022.

The CIS team fell to PSG.LGD in the Final of the Upper Bracket and was rebuilt in the Lower Bracket, beating Aster 2-1. In this way, the Russians reached the Grand Final to take revenge on PSG.LGD and be crowned in Arlington. This edition of the tournament was special for a number of epic series among one of the most dominating Dota 2 squads. Everyone knew that this event would finish on a high note. And that’s definitely what happened.

PSG.LGD Finished Second

PSG.LGD was considered the clear favorite of this main tournament of the summer, which was clearer in all betting odds on the https://dota2-bets.com/ website. Even though the Chinese powerhouse couldn’t make it to the victory, the team lost only two maps on the way to the Grand Final. The players from PSG.LGD not only crushed the Groups, but also swept through the Playoff’s Upper Bracket, defeating the two favorites, such as OG and Team Spirit. As a result, the Chinese quintet made a great hit and took home a prize of $100,000, as well as a well-deserved direct invitation to The International 11.

The Grand Final: Recap

The final match was played under the control of PSG.LGD, but Team Spirit had a great defensive wall and, at one moment, managed to turn the course of the match in their favor. It is also worth noting an incredible move from Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov on Ax, who brought the matter to victory.

Game 1

The first game contributed to the Chinese team that focused on a damage lineup, including their Rubick, Chen, Viper, Pudge, and Puck. On the other hand, Spirit’s draft in game 1 relied on a more conventional lineup that was off to a good start, putting immense pressure on Tiny and Enigma.

With the hard superior heavy lineup, the Chinese players started pressuring their rivals. It was an extremely aggressive early phase, but the CIS giants demonstrated serious resistance and flexibility. However, after a tremendous teamfight in the top jungle, PSG.LGD pushed the opponent’s Tier 4 towers and won the first game.

Game 2

Likewise, the lineup of the Chinese team favored this game. In this regard, their Dazzle, Razor, Keeper of Light, Tisk, and Naga Siren with the deadly Ame in charge.

After losing the first map, the TI champions were furious and started attacking Naga Siren in the laning stage and not letting the dangerous carry farm up. Despite this, the Chinese powerhouse managed to proceed and even was 7k ahead. On the other hand, it seemed as though the Spirit’s powerhouse vanished with one Melee Barracks remaining after 45 minutes. But Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov and the rest emerged victorious in the late phase.

Game 3

After losing the second map, the Chinese players were furious and made a mistake of choosing Naga Siren once again. Even though the latter one was well-farmed, the game was out of their hands and getting destroyed in the 27th minute, Zhang Yiping and the rest had no chance to win. An enormous lead was hard to stop, even for the Chinese powerhouse. Team Spirit took one tower after another and won the game in less than 30 minutes.

Game 4

In this game, neither of the teams let each other get too far ahead. This was a brilliant team fight of the two clear favorites for the trophy in Arlington. Even though the Russians had an unsteady early game, going down six kills to 0 within the first few minutes. However, they proceeded later with their faster farming abilities and took charge of the map. After killing the PSG.LGD’s in the 44th minute, the CIS giants pushed and finally managed to win the entire tournament in Arlington.
