Shifting Demographics Mean More Muslims Than Jews In US

The United States has begun to experience a demographic shift that has been taking the rest of the developed world by storm: the surge in Muslim populations through both immigration and procreation. 

Recent studies from Pew Research Center's Fact Tank put the number of Muslims in the US at 3.35 million, which accounts for roughly 1% of the total population. 

Bolstered by increased immigration from conflict zones, such as Iraq, Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh and Syria, but primarily due to substantially higher fertility rates in Muslim communities, the Muslim population is projected to increase from 1.5% to 2.1% of the US population by the year 2050. 

For comparison's sake, the current Jewish religious community represents approximately 1.8% of the total US population and is the second largest religious population after Christians.

At the current growth rate, there will be more Muslims living in the United States than Jews by the year 2050, both in raw numbers and as a percentage of the total population. Of the 3.35 million Muslims currently living in the US, a staggering 58% were migrants who bring with them the cultural values of their home countries. 

Around the world, Muslims also show the youngest median age of any religious group at only 24 years old, as well as the highest fertility rate per woman. This is a guaranteed formula for a population boom in the United States, which could put the figures for Muslim population increases far higher than the steady growth projections already making headlines.

Liberal apologists may cry foul as they point to those who protested the waves of German and Irish immigrants in the mid-19th century, the influx of Chinese and Japanese immigrants in the late 19th and early 20th century and the massive flow of South and Central American immigrants to cross the border after the 1960s. 

However, the German, Irish, Japanese, Chinese and Latino immigrants all settled down, adopted core democratic American values and helped to form the bedrock of our society. So why would millions of Muslim immigrants from the Middle East and South-East Asia be any different? The answer is simple: Islam.

Islam is unique among the major world religions in the sense that it is not only a religion but also a cultural and political system. It imposes on its believers Sharia Law and calls for the use of Islam, a fiercely anti-democratic philosophy, as the sole system of government and civil organization in a society. 

Witness the calls for Sharia Law in the United Kingdom and the establishment of Shariah courts. Witness the formation of no-go zones across France and Sweden where police dare not venture and Islam is the law. The very term Islam means "submission" or "obedience" in Arabic, and this is its ultimate goal.

In any country that has seen large-scale Muslim immigration or conversion, the process is nearly identical. First, liberal democratic systems are subverted to provide extra rights and privileges to the Muslim minorities until such time as the Muslim populations have grown in size where they are the majority. 

Then democratic institutions are slowly eroded, and Islam becomes the dominant faith, but Christianity, Judaism and Hinduism are allowed to continue to exist while taxed and marginalized. 

Apostasy from Islam is punishable by death in many countries at this stage, preaching anything but Islam is illegal and there are official benefits for conversion to Islam. Finally, when Islam has achieved a super-majority, all other religions are severely persecuted (or their adherents slaughtered) and all democratic institutions are replaced by an absolutist Islamic theocracy, such as is the case in Saudi Arabia or Iran.

No other social, ethnic or religious group has so steadfastly refused to assimilate into American culture. Islam in America and Canada brings us women who remain covered from head to toe, child marriages, and honor killings, all following the precepts of Shariah Law. 

A doubling of the Muslim population is a doubling of a population that advocates submission to a radically authoritarian, archaic social and political system and, as we have seen in Europe, jihad will be achieved through violence if necessary.

By mid-century, conservative population growth projections predict that Muslims will comprise at least 10% of the population of Europe and 2.1% of America with higher concentrations in certain areas. New Jersey already contains 3% Muslims, so a doubling of this would place New Jersey closer to Europe with around 6% of its population Muslim.

The demographic shift that is replacing Jewish Americans with Muslims also promises to bring with it a new wave of anti-Semitism and anti-Israel pressure. This week London saw thousands march through the streets to protest the centenary of the historic Balfour Declaration that helped lead to the creation of the Jewish state.  

Academic institutions with large Muslim populations are already showing a sign of things to come as they pressure schools and business to become part of the Boycott, Divest, Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel.

Demographics are in constant flux throughout the world, but the steady rise of Islam is one that promises to bring major social upheaval to Western countries. 

The rights of women, the existence of democratic institutions, freedom of speech, freedom to worship, the human rights of minority groups, and many of the civil freedoms Americans take for granted may all slowly disappear under submission to Islam.
