OpenAI says advanced AI models broke containment, reached the open internet and hacked a rival platform. If today’s systems can escape their safeguards and launch real-world cyberattacks, what happens when tomorrow’s models are connected to power grids, banks, military networks or autonomous weapons?
The central question is not simply whether America trusts the Saudi government of 2026 with nuclear power. The question is whether America can trust every Saudi government that might control this technology over the next 30, 40 or 50 years.
Why do a million people, or 2 million people, 10,000 a day under Joe Biden, from very poor countries, most of them from what we would call the former Third World that were victims of socialism, why do they risk their lives coming here every year?
The biggest threat isn't whether New York's mayor could arrest Benjamin Netanyahu - it's why so many people believe he should. According to reports circulating from Iran, some lawmakers have openly discussed the possibility of invading neighboring Kuwait, seizing American military personnel stationed there, transporting them back to Iran and using them as human shields against future U.S. attacks.
Recent developments out of China have sent another clear signal that the AI race is entering a far more consequential phase.
